Fruity kataifi
Ingredients:
For the base:
Kataifi phyllo
1 TBspButter
Sugar syrup
Creamy kashta:
1 cup of cream
1/2 cup milk
2 TBsp corn flour
1/2 TBsp sugar
1/2 tsp rose water
1/2 tsp blossom water
Topping: banana, raspberry,apple
Start by mixing the katayfi with the melted butter.
Bake it in the oven using a cupcake pan or a tart pan.
When it is golden remove it from the oven and drizzle it with a little bit of sugar syrup or honey.
Meanwhile, for the kashta , mix the cream, milk , corn flour and sugar , put in on the stove and keep stirring till it thickens , add the rose water and the blossom water and turn off the heat and the filling is ready.
Top with your choice of fruit and we chose banana ,apple and raspberry.
Sugar syrup:
2 cups sugar
1 cups water
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon Orange Blossom water
1 tablespoon rose water
Dissolve the sugar in the water and cook over medium heat until the syrup thickens a bit about 10-12 minutes.
Add the lemon juice and orange blossom water and rose water and cook for another 3 minutes
Cool the syrup and refrigerate
