Cheesy Pizza Straws

Ingredients:
one cup of cake flour
one teaspoon of baking powder
half a teaspoon of salt
one tablespoon of butter
one and a half cup of finely grated cheddar cheese
a quarter cup of room temperature buttermilk or milk
two tablespoons of tomato sauce
1 strip of pineapple cut into tiny pieces
dried basil

Method
1. In a large bowl add the flour, baking powder, salt, and the butter. Make this into a crumby mixture with your hands.
2. Add only one and a quarter cup of the finely grated cheese to the crumby flour and mix with a fork.
3. Pour in the buttermilk or milk and knead into a soft dough.
4. Place the dough onto a lightly floured surface. My grandmother taught me a special trick to cover my mum's kitchen counter with cling wrap for the easy rolling of the dough, which makes clean up easy. Roll the dough out with a rolling pin until it is very thin, about 2 millimeters.
5. Drizzle and spread the tomato sauce all over half of rolled flat dough, then sprinkle over some dried basil, drizzle the tiny pineapple pieces and lastly sprinkle the remaining cheese over the side covered with sauce.
6. Fold the dry side over onto the side with the sauce and cheese. You can now flatten the dough a little more if you like to make the straws thin and crispy.
7. Cut the dough into one and half centimeter strips lay on a greased tray and bake for 10 minutes or until baked.
8. Remove the cheesy pizza straws, allow to cool, and indulge in this delicious treat.
