Orange Cake
INGREDIENTS:
- 175g flour
-250g sugar
- 5 eggs separated
- rinds of an orange
- 2oz orange juice
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
METHOD
Cream butter and sugar, beat well
Add the egg yolks one at a time and the orange rinds. Beat well.
Fold in the flour and the orange juice.
Beat egg whites till stiff in a separate bowl and fold into the rest of the mixture .
Mix in the baking powder.
Pour the mixture into a small lined baking tray , and bake in a preheated oven at 180°c for 30 - 35 min.
ORANGE GLAZE ICING
Add 2oz icing sugar in a bowl and gradually add into to it orange juice until a pouring consistency is reached.
Pour the glaze over the baked cake.
