Upside down banana pecan cake🍌
110g melted butter
⅔ cup brown sugar
3-4 bananas sliced
1 cup flour
2 tsp vanilla essence
1 tsp baking powder
⅔ cup buttermilk
1 egg
¼ cup oil
100 ml castor sugar
⅓ cup roasted pecan and extra for garnish
Pour the melted butter into a 22cm round tin
Sprinkle the brown sugar over
Place the bananas in the tin
Beat the egg vanilla essence and oil
Add the buttermilk pecans flour and baking powder
Pour the batter over the bananas
Bake on 180°C for 30 mins
Cool on a rack for 45 mins before turning
Serve warm
Can be served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream
