Tipsy Tart

Ingredients:
375 ml Flour
125 ml butter
250ml sugar
250 ml dates
250 ml of boiling water
2 eggs
15 ml of baking soda
15 ml baking powder

Method:
1. Snip the dates and add boiling water
2. Beat butter and sugar until creamy
3. Add egg 1 for 1
4. Add dry ingredients
5. Stir in dates
6. Bake in moderate oven until cooked

Syrup ingredients:
310 ml sugar
125 ml Brandy (optional)
190 ml Water
5 ml of vanillia
15 ml butter

Method of syrup:
1. Boil water, sugar, vanilla and butter for
3 min
2. Add brandy (optional)
3. Pour over hot tart
